Also wait a day if not 2 after spraying for final. There are universal flattening agents such as Valspar and Im almost positive DuPonts flattner can be used in clear. Bottom line is Id have to consult with my DuPont supplier to be sure of what to use.
Other companies have flattening agents for economy and premium clearcoats but cost wise the better value seems to be production clear and flattening agent Kirker makes a matte clear which can be used alone or mixed with their clearcoats to get a satin or semi-gloss effect. Flatting agent consists of tiny particles embedded in the finish and they actually make the coating slightly cloudy. Look into a can of satin finish and a can of gloss and the difference in clarity will be immediately obvious.
